Here is where you can inquire about custom orders, weddings, large events, special requests, size or budget questions, and any other cake or dessert questions you may have! *REMINDER: At Mile High Sweet Lady, we value creativity and originality. We do not replicate or copy other artists' designs. You are welcome to provide inspiration or themes, but each cake will be uniquely crafted to reflect our style. We reserve the right to decline any requests that involve direct duplication of another artist's work.*
Cancellation Policy
GENERAL INFO Mile High Sweet Lady is a home-based bakery operating under Colorado’s Cottage Food Law, specializing in custom cakes made from scratch. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. COTTAGE FOOD LAW COMPLIANCE All products are made in a home kitchen that is not subject to state inspections. Our kitchen may process common allergens, including wheat, dairy, nuts, and eggs. CUSTOM DESIGNS & ORIGINAL WORK We do not copy other artists' designs. You can provide inspiration, but each creation will reflect our unique style. ORDERING & PAYMENT Lead Time: Orders under $100: 1 weeks’ notice. Orders over $100: 2 weeks’ notice. *If you need your order sooner, a rush fee may be added Payment: Under $150: Full payment upfront. Over $150: 50% non-refundable deposit; remaining balance due 5 days before pick-up/delivery. CANCELATIONS, REFUNDS, RETURNS Cancellations: Notify us at least 10 days prior for cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable unless canceled 4 weeks in advance. Refunds: No refunds. Please contact us within 24 hours if you have concerns. Design Changes: Changes require 12 days’ notice. Last-minute changes (within 7 days) incur a $10+ fee. PICK-UP/DELIVERY Pick-Up: If you’re more than 20 minutes late with no communication, we may cancel your order without a refund. Delivery: Available within 10 miles of Denver for a fee starting at $5. Orders outside 10 miles are case-by-case. If no one is available to receive the order, we’ll wait 20 minutes before canceling. CAKE CARE Storage: Refrigerate cakes until 1–2 hours before serving. Avoid humidity and heat. Transport: Place the cake on a flat surface (not seats or laps.) Drive carefully. Keep cakes cool and NEVER leave them in a hot car. Safety Warning: Cakes & desserts may contain dowels or non-edible items. Some decorations pose choking or tooth-chipping risks. Handle responsibly! ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS We offer gluten-free and vegan options but cannot guarantee allergen-free products due to cross-contamination risks PHOTOGRAPHY & PROMOTION We may photograph any and all of our products for promotion. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Mile High Sweet Lady LLC is not responsible for allergic reactions or issues after the order leaves our care. Handle all cakes and desserts carefully & responsibly to prevent injuries or damage. CHANGES TO TERMS We reserve the right to update our terms and prices at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the changes.
